Bräntings and Halfvede release Whisky Glögg

Glögg is a traditional Swedish spiced wine, often enjoyed warm during the Christmas season. Now, a Swedish whisky distillery has teamed up with a local apple mustery to create a unique version for 2024.

Bräntings Bränneri, the artisanal distillery from northern Gotland, has collaborated with Halfvede Musteri, Gotland’s most renowned apple mustery, to develop a whisky glögg for Christmas 2024. This innovative take on glögg features blended malt whisky aged in new American oak and ex-sherry casks, with toasted oak staves from Bunge. The whisky is mixed with freshly harvested apple must from Stenkyrka, Belle de Boskoop, Ribston, and Ingrid-Marie apples, and flavored with a spiced syrup of cardamom, orange peel, and ginger. The whisky glögg has an alcohol content of 19%.

A limited release of 950 numbered bottles will be available starting October 29th.
