This collection will be released in three editions throughout the year, starting with Skogstroll, a distinguished 13-year-old single malt. Distilled in Lillkyrka, Örebro Län, this lightly peated whisky has been matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks, resulting in a rich and complex flavor profile.
Skogstroll takes inspiration from Nordic folklore, where these mystical forest creatures are believed to dwell deep within nature. Enigmatic and moss-covered, they blend seamlessly with their surroundings, embodying the magic and secrets of the wild. Known as benevolent beings to those who show respect but formidable adversaries to those who threaten them, Skogstroll symbolize the power of nature and the importance of honoring it.
This exceptional whisky presents an enticing aromatic profile with sweet notes of vanilla, fig marmalade, and a fresh touch of moss. The palate offers a rich taste with hints of raisins, vanilla, and gentle smokiness, complemented by a distinct sherry cask character. Lihnell’s Distillery Skogstroll has an alcohol content of 53%. A limited release of only 750 bottles will be available, making this a highly sought-after expression for whisky enthusiasts.
