This summer, the distillery introduces its fourth major release: Cask Strength Whisky 04, a bold expression that captures the spirit of innovation shaping Scandinavia’s whisky scene.
A Whisky Born From Experimentation
Bräntings Bränneri has never been afraid to push boundaries. The new release is a complex blend of both peated and unpeated spirits, matured in an adventurous combination of casks:
- Peated: 6 years in Oloroso sherry casks for depth and richness.
- Unpeated: 4 years in bourbon barrels for vanilla sweetness and balance.
- Unpeated: 5 years in American oak with a final year in rum casks, adding exotic warmth and spice.
To further shape the character, the team incorporated toasted sugarcane staves and locally sourced oak staves, a nod to both global inspiration and Swedish roots.
Strong, Limited, and Uncompromising
Bottled at its natural strength of 53.2% ABV, this whisky is unapologetically bold. Just 550 hand-numbered bottles will be released, making it as rare as it is distinctive. Enthusiasts are encouraged to add a few drops of water to reveal its full spectrum of flavors — from smoky depth to rum-soaked fruit and subtle Nordic wood spice.

Availability
The Cask Strength Whisky 04 will be available in June 2025 in a strictly limited edition of 550 bottles. Each bottle reflects the distillery’s commitment to detail, presented in modern, understated packaging that mirrors the clarity of their vision.
