According to myth, Jörmungand is so immense that it encircles the world and bites its own tail. For 2025, the serpent winds its way through the rugged beauty of Gotland to mark one of the most anticipated cultural events of the year. With its smoky depth and vibrant character, this whisky evokes the power and mystique of its namesake.
Craft and Character
This year’s release has matured in six American oak casks, showcasing Gotland Whisky’s signature craftsmanship. The blend consists primarily of peated spirit, with 20% unpeated whisky, creating a dynamic tension between fire and finesse.
Expect notes of citrus, ashy smoke, vanilla, honey, and licorice — a sensory tale worthy of any Viking skald.
