Sweden’s leading spirits producer, Agitator Whiskymakare, continues its collaboration with whisky influencer Samuel Lindlöf and is now releasing SamuelWhisky No. 3. This third whisky in the series, like previous releases, is a limited edition. A total of 444 bottles will be launched on October 28.
Following the success of SamuelWhisky No. 1 and No. 2, Agitator is now unveiling SamuelWhisky No. 3, crafted together with whisky influencer Samuel Lindlöf. The two previous releases, in 2022 and 2023, quickly sold out.
“I still find it somewhat surreal to be an ambassador for Agitator. Representing the industry’s only rebellious tradition-breaker is something I love. It’s incredibly fun to be entrusted once again as a guest whisky maker and to unleash my experimental spirit,” says Samuel Lindlöf, Brand Ambassador at Agitator.
SamuelWhisky No. 3
SamuelWhisky No. 3 is a unique blend, with 51.5% of the whisky aged in red wine casks, accompanied by a bourbon cask previously used for SamuelWhisky No. 1. This makes it the first SamuelWhisky to feature a second-fill cask. The blend is minimally filtered to retain maximum flavor and bottled at its natural cask strength, reaching an impressive 61%. The whisky’s aromas include red currants, fruit compote, and vanilla cake.
“Of course, the quality of the casks is essential, but it’s thanks to our unique process – with unusually long fermentation, vacuum distillation, and low cask filling strength – that it turns out so well. It’s not magic – it’s innovation, technology, and science,” Samuel Lindlöf continues.
Samuel previously ran the whisky blog SamuelWhisky and has been Agitator’s whisky ambassador for over a year.
“Samuel is probably Sweden’s sharpest whisky expert, and we’re thrilled that he wants to keep making whisky with us. This way, we have the opportunity to try new concepts and reach new audiences, something we will focus on more in the future,” says Oskar Kalmaru, CEO of Agitator.
Agitator has grown rapidly since its launch in Sweden in 2021 and is now the market leader in Swedish whisky. This fall, the distillery has also introduced a Swedish rum.
