Today, Agitator Whisky releases the 2026 edition of its acclaimed Argument series — a range dedicated to challenging conventions and proving that whisky doesn’t have to follow the well-worn path to be exceptional.
A 4×4 Drive Straight Into Spring
This year’s release, Argument: All Grains, is exactly what it sounds like: a bold, innovative exploration built on four grains and four casks. Think of it as a whisky with four-wheel drive — maximum traction, no risk of getting stuck in tradition.

All Grains is distilled from Sweden’s four classic staple grains: wheat, oat, barley, and rye. Each grain brings its own character, structure, and texture, creating a layered and expressive whisky that feels both grounded and refreshingly new.
The result is a profile that leans unmistakably toward the lighter side of the season — an early taste of spring, poured straight into your glass.
Four Casks. Full Throttle.
Maturation takes the same 4×4 approach. The whisky is aged in four different cask types:
- Virgin oak
- Ex-bourbon
- Sherry cask
- A rare white port cask, adding extra richness and depth
Together, they deliver a vibrant, field-fresh flavor profile with notes of newly cut straw, red apple, and Seville orange. On the nose, it’s less snowy January and more sun-warmed meadow — close your eyes and you might just find yourself somewhere between blooming fields and a slightly whisky-enhanced Bullerby summer.

The Argument series is released in strictly limited editions, with each bottling designed as a one-off exploration rather than a recurring recipe. Once a release is gone, it’s gone — making every Argument a snapshot of an idea, captured at a specific moment in time. Previous editions have explored bold cask-driven concepts, such as the earlier Argument matured in sherry butt, setting the stage for this year’s broader, multi-grain and multi-cask approach.
