High Coast Mountains 04 – Hornöberget

After three peaks and three stories, the journey reaches its grand conclusion. Mountains 04 – Hornöberget marks the final chapter in the acclaimed Mountains series – a tribute to Sweden’s dramatic landscapes, the patience of nature, and the art of whisky-making.

Located beside the iconic Högakusten Bridge, Hornöberget is the lowest mountain in the series – but also the most accessible. It’s a fitting finale to a whisky collection inspired by the meeting of land, sea, and time.

Unpeated, Sherry-Rich and Elegantly Balanced

Mountains 04 Hornöberget is made entirely from unpeated whisky, matured its entire life in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks made from American oak. The result is a deep, refined spirit with rich sherry influence, layered fruit, and a soft sweetness that lingers.

Bottled at a carefully chosen strength of 51.0% ABV, Hornöberget balances intensity with a velvety smoothness and nuanced complexity. Only 2,132 bottles were released – each representing over ten years of craftsmanship and care.

A Fitting End to the Mountains Series

The Mountains series has taken us from Multråberget to Borgberget, then Skuleberget, and now finally to Hornöberget – four peaks, four stories, one expression of passion for nature and whisky alike.

Hornöberget deepens and refines the series’ character – a whisky both generous and contemplative. During the summer whisky festival, it was voted the series’ overall favourite in a blind tasting, confirming its place as a worthy finale to this ambitious journey.

Mountains 04 – Hornöberget will be released on November 21, 2025.
